Salford could be set to make a bid to buy their A J Bell Stadium home, which they currently share with Sale Sharks as co-tenants. The stadium is currently owned by the council-run City of Salford Community Stadium Ltd. Sale Sharks, however, have made no secret of their desire to buy the stadium but they have looked at their options after an initial bid was turned down.
Salford opened the stadium back in 2012 against Castleford. Sale moved in in April of that year signing a 25 year deal.
Sale have confirmed that if they do buy the ground…..Salford will still be welcome as tenants.
